In the loggia of enduring Vasarian memory stands out Athena, Goddess of science and wisdom, a symbol of creative craftsmanship and mistress of the ancient art of precious metalwork.

On the occasion of Caurum’s fifth anniversary, the goal was ambitious: to create a cover capable of encapsulating in a single image both the brand’s identity and its deep connection with the city of Arezzo. Elegance, refinement, history, and materiality had to coexist in balance, transforming into a coherent and recognizable visual narrative.
The inspiration stems from the Vasariane Logge, one of the city’s most iconic architectural landmarks. A place rich in history and perspective, perfect for building a solemn and timeless narrative. However, the technical complexities of shooting on location led us to reinterpret the space: the colonnade was recreated through a process of design and printing, transforming it into a painterly backdrop that preserves the authenticity of the place while allowing full control over the lighting.
This approach enabled us to construct the image with precision, allowing subject and environment to interact seamlessly without ever losing visual credibility. The lighting was carefully designed to follow the perspective lines of the colonnade and guide the viewer’s gaze toward the center of the scene, where the main figure comes to life.
Our contemporary “Athena” emerges with strength and poise: an elegant presence suspended between classicism and modernity. The golden dress, handcrafted by our hair stylist Fabrizio Del Buono, संवादes with the warm tones of the architecture, while the metallic bust, created by local artist Mauro Fastelli, adds structure and character, evoking strength and preciousness. The hairstyle, also by Fabrizio, frames Athena’s face with precision, forming a refined and elegant crown of hair that enhances her regal presence while adding a modern touch to the traditional depiction.
Behind the Scene
The makeup, curated by Graziano Giommatoni, defines the face with balance and intensity, giving the model an essential nobility, never excessive. Her gaze becomes the meeting point between observer and image, while her hands symbolically hold the heart of the brand.
At the center of the composition, safely enclosed in Athena’s hand, lies the deepest meaning of the shot: knowledge, experience, and the identity of Caurum, represented as something precious to be protected and passed on. Even the logo, reinterpreted as a material element, integrates into the scene, becoming part of the visual narrative.
The result is an image created through the collaboration of various local artisans, united by a single goal: to shape a cover capable of expressing, in an elegant and contemporary way, the essence of Caurum and its connection to its origins.
